Why hello. Don’t you ever feel as if you just want to SHOUT about some things? Well welcome to my fantastically awesome blog where everyone is highly encouraged to SHOUT about anything they feel strongly on. There are definitely a number of things in my life and the world around me that make me want to SHOUT! So please, try to bear with me as I vent, as well as praise different subjects. On occasions I’ll have a horrid, annoyed shout and other times it’ll be a vivacious giddy shout. I try to keep it balanced but now days it seems as though there are rarely things, events, or people to be happy with. But, today is the day! I actually have something good to SHOUT about. It just so happens that it is one of the best things ever thought of, fiction.
What is fiction? I usually think of the classic fairy tales when I think of fiction. I’m not talking about the ones that most youngsters know of today; I’m talking about the real fairy tales, the ones known as the Grimms’ fairy tales . Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm are some of my biggest idols. Their way of writing veers away from the innocence of children’s fairy tales and goes into a deeper and darker form of fiction writing which I love. Many of the fairy tales that we know of today are merely “cleaned-up” reincarnations of the Grimm brothers works.
The Grimm brother fairy tales fall into a category that just happens to be my favorite type of writing, fiction. Whether it is fable, fib, or fantasy; they are all enjoyable to read. I believe that it takes great talent to be able to write fictional stories. Anybody can write any old research paper, but it takes true creativity to write an imaginative story that catches readers’ attention all the way through the piece. So I would like to give a SHOUT out to fictional writers all throughout the world! I am grateful for your writings because even though I love to write fiction, I do not –in any way, shape, or form- believe that I am any good at it. So thank you for giving all of us wanna-be fictional writers something better than our own work to read.
